Preparing for Camp

Whether you’re joining the North Star Camp as a staff member for the first time or you’re a seasoned camp veteran, there are a few things we’ll need from you before the summer. We also have some resources to help you prepare for the summer. Below you’ll find details of some forms we need every staff member to fill out. Of course, don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or requests!

Prep Guide & Staff Forms
The Preparing for Camp Guide should be read by all staff. This will provide you lots of info to help you get ready for the summer, let you know about the forms we need from you, and also details more about our policies.

In order to get every staff member up to speed and ready for camp, there are a variety of forms and information we need everyone to fill out. It will help with planning arrival dates, certifications needed and more.

Each staff member has a personal login page through our CampInTouch system (where you signed your contract) where the forms will live. You can also download the “Campanion” app to fill out forms. If you do not know your login, click “forgot password” to troubleshoot or email Dan@NorthStarCamp.com if you need further help.

Getting To Know You Before The Summer

Passport Information/Employment Verification

*These forms need to be filled out and submitted by June 1st. Once you log into your CampInTouch page, click the “Forms and Documents” link to access these forms. In the Health History Form, there is a section where you can enter your immunization history. If you are unable to complete the form on your own, there is a separate immunizations form that you can take to your doctor to get completed and then either fax or scan/email it in.
Pre-Summer Certification Trainings / Videos

Note: If you are not required to be certified for any of the below trainings but wish to be certified, email us and we will get you enrolled.

Lifeguard Training

All waterfront instructors (canoeing, fishing, sailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding & windsurfing) and trip leaders are expected to be lifeguard trained. Staff needing these certifications will be sent info on how to register for the online content, which must be completed BEFORE you get to camp. This course includes CPR/First Aid/AED training. We will be holding lifeguard training courses on June 6-7 and June 8-9.

CPR/First Aid/AED Training

All Senior Counselors and certain other program staff are expected to be CPR/First Aid/AED trained. Staff needing these certifications have been sent info on how to register for the online content, which must be completed BEFORE you get to camp.

Boater Safety Training

All fishing, waterski, sailing and windsurfing staff are expected to be boater safety trained. Staff needing these certifications will be sent info on how to register for the online content. State of Wisconsin law requires that anyone driving motorboats must take Boater Safety Training.
