Flambeau River Wilderness Trip

One of Northern Wisconsin’s notable rivers, the Flambeau has long been a part of North Star Camp for Boys’ tripping program. We utilize many different stretches of the Flam. Our 6th grade campers will go on a three day / two night trip on the Flambeau. This trip serves as their first exposure to white water. Groups will paddle through areas that put to use their learned canoeing skills. Canoe partners must utilize their teamwork and communication skills as the bow paddler helps direct the stern paddler to ensure that any rocks are avoided and the rapids are successfully navigated. Campers fondly remember their paddles through Cedar Rapids and Beaver Dam.
