For over 80 years, North Star Camp has been a place where boys grow into confident, responsible, and compassionate young men. Founded in 1945, North Star has shaped generations through a program designed not only for fun and adventure, but for lasting impact.
Every camper is given the space to explore his own personality and interests in a safe, supportive community, and the result is growth that endures far beyond a summer. Families trust North Star because it produces outcomes — resilience, independence, emotional intelligence, and strong character — that boys carry with them for life.

Campers travel to North Star from all over the world. In 2025, we had campers from 28 U.S. States and 4 countries. Amongst our staff, we had 14 countries represented including Mexico, India, South Africa, Colombia, Australia, United Kingdom and Spain.
The best part? No more than 3 campers in a cabin will be from the same school or geographical area, ensuring that campers are able to meet, and become friends with, kids from all different backgrounds.

Camp is about more than fun—it’s about pushing boundaries in a safe, supportive setting. Our daily schedule combines the clear structure of activities chosen by the campers with the flexibility of free choice in the late afternoon.
Backed by North Star’s dedicated staff and role models, boys learn that real growth happens when they take chances outside of their comfort zone and discover new strengths in themselves. North Star staff are there to support every struggle, celebrate every win, and help transform potential into achievement. After a summer at North Star Camp, campers return home with increased confidence, resilience, and character.

Nestled on 120 acres in the heart of Wisconsin’s Northwoods, North Star Camp offers an environment where boys can truly unplug, explore, and grow. With 2.5 miles of shoreline, towering pines, and crisp Midwestern skies, our setting provides the perfect backdrop for adventure and friendship. From mornings on the lake to evenings under the stars, the landscape itself becomes a teacher—encouraging independence, curiosity, and resilience.
Camping in the Midwest holds a special importance: it gives boys the chance to step outside their routines, leave electronics behind, and discover the joy of nature close to home. Whether paddling with cabinmates on the Namekagon River, hiking trails along Lake Superior, or simply playing on the waterfront, campers learn life skills that last far beyond the summer.
