Sign-Up Trips

For campers looking for additional trip opportunities, North Star Camp for Boys offers optional sign-up trips at the end of each session. This wide variety of offerings provides campers the chance to take extra trips and have more exposure to the outdoors. These trips allow participants to explore different wilderness areas and participate in expeditions that are often of a different nature than their cabin trips.

Some of the sign-up trips are canoeing and hiking. Campers with the paddling abilities are allowed to go on trips with more white water and other challenges. Other trips include fishing and sailing day trips, horseback riding overnights, and climbing trips to nearby state parks. One of our most popular sign-up trips is the solo, a one-night trip where campers go to a nearby wilderness area with a group of other campers and staff, but stay at an individual site, by themselves. Solo participants are always under the supervision of our wilderness trip leaders, but the format of the trip allows them to really enjoy the outdoors and gain an added sense of self reliance.
