Speedball

Speedball is a time-honored favorite at North Star Camp for Boys! This exhilarating game is a fusion of soccer, basketball, and football, offering a whirlwind of excitement. Though the game starts with the ball on the ground, players have moments where they can use their hands to toss or “air dribble” the ball. Remember, hands are only in play if the ball’s last touch wasn’t the ground. Players have the freedom to self-kick or send the ball flying to a teammate, and then either continue the air dribble or pass it along, strategizing their way down the field.

Scoring in Speedball offers its own twist! Teams can earn:

  • 1 point by nudging the ball across the end line with a kick.
  • 2 points by tossing it into the end zone, akin to a touchdown.
  • 2 points by sailing the ball over the goalpost, resembling a field goal.
  • 3 points by netting the ball in the soccer goal.

Catch the Speedball frenzy on special days like United Nations Day, North Star Games Day, College Days and during Organized Free play sessions all summer long!
