Upper Namekagon River Wilderness Trip

5th grade campers at North Star Camp for Boys will travel on the Namekagon River for three days and two nights. The Nam is the perfect river to begin their overnight camping experience. Campers can practice canoe skills and feel a sense of adventure while remaining relatively close to camp.

Campers travel with specialized wilderness staff who are lifeguards, Wilderness First Responders, and experienced outdoor travelers. However, the trippers are not guides, they help the campers to set up their own tents, gather firewood, and participate in their camping experience. While at the campsite, campers will play team building games, play card games, and do reflection activities as a cabin.
