How did you learn about North Star and why did you apply?
I applied to BUNAC, an intermediary company that helps people like me find employment at summer camps abroad! I uploaded my profile to their database and was contacted by Andy and Dan who confirmed my place at camp this summer.
If you wrote an autobiography, what would the title be?
I have no idea, ha.
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
When man first discovered how to effectively make fire, or when man first realised that planting seeds would create sustainable food without having to continually relocate in order to survive.
What is your dream vacation:
Skiing or anything snow sports related.
If you had a super hero power, what would it be:
The ability to teleport anywhere in the world just by imagining the place I wanted to arrive at!
What noteworthy/random/menial jobs have you held?
Gardener, Dog walker, Baby sitter, Labourer, cleaner.
What TV show or movie are you ashamed to admit that you love?
Brother Bear
What did you do last summer?
Worked on a building site as a digger operator and then erecting marquees for events such as weddings and parties.
What is a little Known fact about yourself:
I have Celiac disease, which means I can’t eat gluten. Gluten is in things like bread, pasta, biscuits and the list goes on!
What, if any previous camp/outdoor experiences have you had?
I was a boy scout for 6 years
Then, an Army Cadet for 8 years
Have been on ‘survival’ weekends learning tricks to survive in the wild
Have done the Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme which involves distance walking and navigating and wild camping
