Campers vs. Staff Back at Camp

Back at camp, the campers took on the staff in an evening program packed with challenges across archery, riflery, fishing, pickleball, tennis, softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, disc golf, and chess. There was a real prize on the line, because if the campers won the night, they would earn an extra half hour of sleep the next morning. The counselors did not make it easy, and a few of the matchups produced moments the boys will be talking about for the rest of the session. In softball, the campers somehow kept finding extra outs. When it came time for soccer, the counselors needed reinforcements and called in members of the kitchen and maintenance teams to round out their roster. The campers absolutely creamed the counselors in fishing, and it was not even close. They also battled the staff to draws in chess and basketball, with Leb making a guest appearance at the chess boards, before the counselors pulled away for the overall victory.
A Prize Well Earned
The staff may have taken the overall win, but the night still handed the campers a victory worth remembering. After the results were in, everyone gathered on the basketball courts, where a camper named Noah challenged Andy, the camp’s owner and director, to a game of P-I-G played as N-S-C instead. Noah earned the win, and with it the extra half hour of sleep the next morning that the campers had spent the whole evening chasing. As Andy put it, it was a prize well earned.
