Softball

At the heart of North Star Camp for Boys’ athletics program is softball, embodying the very essence of our philosophy on sports. It caters to every camper, regardless of his skill level. Whether a camper seeks the joy of playing for fun, or aims to elevate their game to a higher level, softball accommodates all of our camper’s athletic goals. 

During project periods, campers come to softball both to play games and to improve their skills. Our skilled instructors utilize various engaging drills and exercises, honing campers’ hitting and fielding techniques. Instructional periods also feature ample game play, fostering a comprehensive learning experience. 

During cabin challenges, softball is a camp favorite uniting campers in spirited competitions.  It takes center stage during organized free periods, and special events, such as United Nations Day. 

On North Star Games Day, we introduce a thrilling hybrid game, melding softball and home run derby, a real favorite among our older campers. This exciting fusion showcases the versatility and excitement that softball brings to North Star Camp for Boys’ vibrant athletics program.
