A Typical Day At Camp
Truth be told, there is never a “typical day” at camp because we like to keep the campers on their toes with surprises and special events. Camp does follow a general schedule on most days. Here is a sample schedule of what the day looks like for our cabin counselors and activity instructors:
Staff Time Off
Counselor assignments each day will vary based on activity offerings and the number of staff in camp. Our Program Director tries to arrange the schedule so each staff member will receive one period off per day. Additionally, staff receive one full day (8 AM – 12:45 AM) and one night off (5 PM – 12:45 AM) per week. We have a 1:00 am in-bed curfew to ensure every staff member is getting enough sleep to be at the top of their game each day.
Tuesdays Are Cruiser Days
Once a week is a cabin day called Cruiser Day. Each cabin creates their own schedule and attends those activities as a group. Popular activities on Cruiser Day include tubing, visiting a resort on the lake, participating in scavenger hunts and doing a slip ‘n slide down the hill. Cabin counselors work with their campers and our Special Programs Director to organize a fun Cruiser Day each week!
