Stand-Up Paddleboarding

At North Star Camp for Boys, Stand-Up Paddleboarding is commonly referred to as “SUP”. It is a combination of surfing and kayaking, and involves standing on an oversized surfboard, similar to our windsurfing boards, and using an elongated canoe paddle. Campers begin by learning to balance on the boards and learn new maneuvers while going on longer paddles. SUP is great for campers looking to improve their balance and work on stamina.
