Wilderness Trips at north star camp for boys

Every summer, each child will go on a wilderness camping trip with his cabin mates, counselors and a wilderness trip leader. Our progressive trip program starts our youngest campers on a 2-day canoe trip on the Namekagon River and works up toward a 9-day canoeing and portaging trip in Canada’s Quetico Provincial Park for our oldest campers. The North Star Camp wilderness trip program is designed to help our campers experience and appreciate nature and the beautiful scenery of the Northwoods, while teaching the Leave No Trace philosophy.

The trips also serve as authentic team-building experiences, allowing cabins to bond, bringing friendships closer, and creating memories that will last forever. The cabins work together to set up tents, collect firewood, build fires, cook meals, and pack up to hit the trail the next morning. At night, they’ll sit around the campfire making s’mores, telling stories, and playing games before going to bed.
