Rocketry

At North Star Camp for Boys, campers can shoot for the stars… literally! Campers start with basic parts of wood, cardboard, and decals and by the time they’re done, they’ve created awesome model rockets. Our beginning campers will start on very basic rockets and as they gain experience, they will have the opportunity to build more intricate and challenging models. All of these rockets come as part of a kit with instructions that will guide them through the steps of creating their final product. In rocketry, campers are also taught about stability and safety, ensuring that their rockets are ready for launch. Our most advanced rocketeers are allowed to create rockets on their own, using their imagination and knowledge to make original models.

Several times during the summer we have rocket launches. Campers bring their rockets to the open athletic field as many others watch at our own version of Cape Canaveral.
