The Canadian, as seen through the eyes of our Pine Manor campers (Part 1)

It’s not often that we are able to welcome a 3X Super Bowl Champion to camp but that happened when North Star Alum Brandt Tilis stopped by yesterday!

Brandt is the current Executive Vice President of the Carolina @panthers. Before that, he spent 14 years with the Kansas City @chiefs, working his way up through the organization, eventually serving as its Vice President of Football Operations from 2021-2023. And many years before that, Brandt was a North Star camper from 1995-97 and 1999-2000. Jeff McCormack was his counselor in Manor 2000, where he was cabinmates with Andy & Glick and went on The Canadian!

Brandt spent two hours last night talking with our oldest boys about his career, working in sports, and how what he learned in his years at North Star helped prepare him for a career in the NFL. The biggest lesson he shared was the importance of finding your passion in life and pursuing it. Brandt answered a wide range of questions from the boys and, at the end, he broke out his three Super Bowl rings to let the campers try on!

We’re super proud of Brandt’s success and we were so lucky to have him visit camp and spend time inspiring our boys!
