Growth Happens at North Star
I just finished reading through the survey responses from our campers this past summer, and I’m struck once again by how much growth happens here and wanted to share! For returning families, chances are, you’ve already seen some of it in your own son. Maybe he came home more self-assured, more thoughtful, or more tuned in to the people around him.
That’s the power of camp. But real growth doesn’t happen all at once. It builds over time. One summer gets things started. The next one strengthens the foundation. And each year adds more. More experience. More perspective. More confidence in who they are and how they show up in the world.
That’s why we’re so excited that for our boys coming to North Star this summer. We can’t wait to help our boys keep building towards being their best selves.
“I love coming to camp to become a better version of myself. I matured as a person and found new things and activities that make me happy and who I am.” — Alex
“I learned that it is best to put yourself out there, try new things and meet new people.” — Auren
“I was fortunate to have great cabin mates. It made me more appreciative of everyone else as we learned the importance of supporting one another.” — Aaron
“I helped comfort a camper who was sad, became friends with him, and invited him to join me and my friends. I listened to him.” — Cooper
“I tried new activities including stand up paddle boarding and rocketry. I didn’t think I would even like them — but stand up paddle boarding became my favorite.” — Jacob
“I learned how to improve with my swimming skills. I learned that friendships can bloom when you least expect it.” — Antonio
Thanks again for being part of the North Star family. We’re so glad your camper is coming back in 2026. It’s a privilege to be part of his journey as he keeps becoming the young man he’s meant to be.
If you know another family who might be a good fit for North Star, send them our way. There’s no better way to grow this community than through families like yours.
