Next up in Staff Spotlights is our small but mighty 2026 CIT Class!

The North Star Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is a selective experiential program where former campers step into counselor and activity instructor roles for the first time. CITs live in camper cabins, teach activities, and help plan special events, all while receiving mentorship and feedback from experienced staff to develop leadership, communication, and professional skills.

Please join us in welcoming this year’s CITs: Stuart, Ethan, Colby, Sam, and Cooper. We can’t wait to see the impact they have this summer!

Caring, compassion, and emotional intelligence are more than just “soft skills.” At North Star, they are the defining traits of a North Star man. 🌲

From the counselors who act as mentors and cheerleaders in the cabins to the deliberate way we approach mental health and wellbeing, we are focused on the bigger picture: raising boys who are as kind as they are resilient.

It is about creating an environment where boys feel supported enough to take risks, and where they learn that taking care of themselves and each other is a mark of strength.

🚨🗣️One month from TODAY, the buses will be rolling through the North Star Arches and our 82nd Summer will be underway!! We’re super excited…are you?!

Our first batch of staff have already arrived at camp to start getting camp ready. Summer is almost here!

Today’s Staff Spotlight welcomes four new cabin counselors to the team: Pablo, Ron, Logan, and Pedro!

Special mention about Ron who has been to North Star for seven summers as part of our annual Four Star Fellowship through @camp4allkids. We’re very excited that he will be joining us for the full summer for the first time. 🙌
