LA Reunion this Sunday

Learning from the best 😎

This week our activity instructors spent time on the field with the U.S. Soccer Federation, building skills, sharpening instruction, and finding new ways to bring energy into every session.

A few summers ago, shortly after campers arrived, a Junior Village camper walked up to Glick and asked, “How come the camp dogs don’t get their own spotlights?” Great question — and that’s how this fun little tradition was born! 🐶

In today’s Pet Spotlight, we welcome these furry friends to their little slice of heaven on Spider Lake. Please welcome Reggie, Bob, Leo, Boomer, and Millie to the North Star 2026 pet squad — they can’t wait to meet all the campers! 🐾

Today’s Staff Spotlight introduces our media team, Day Camp staff, and another tripper and nurse!

First up: Brodrick (videographer) and Abe (photographer). We can’t wait to share the content they capture this summer! 🎥📸

Next is Nicky, joining our wilderness trip leader squad and looking forward to leading cabin trips out into the backcountry. 🛶

Gaby and Michelle head up our Day Camp program, creating a fun and memorable summer for the young children of some of our Directors who spend their summers at North Star. 😎

And last but not least — Jared! A recent college grad, Jared grew up with a family cabin on Spider Lake and spent summers watching North Star from across the water. Before starting a full-time nursing job later this summer, he’ll be with us for the first few weeks of camp. 🩺

Only 6️⃣ days until first session begins! 🏕️
