Staff Spotlight – Dylan Jacobs
My name is Dylan Jacobs, and I am a Senior Interactive Media – Game and Application development major. Originally from Buffalo Grove, IL, I’m a student at Bradley University in Peoria.
Though I do love technology, it does not take away from my passion for the outdoors. My hobbies include playing games, writing and playing music, and swimming. This will be my 11th summer at North Star and I’m a cabin counselor instructing swimming and waterskiing.

How has camp impacted you:
– Camp has basically made me into the person that I am today. As a child
who grew up timid and quiet, I have become an outgoing person who’s not
afraid to try new things, and instead is excited by them. It has made
me a leader which has been reflected in my studies, taking leadership
roles on various application development projects. Most importantly, the
attitude around the camp community is one that I hope will reflect my
own life, and I try to incorporate parts of it into my actions every
day.
