Staff Spotlight: Mandy Stanek
Ask anyone who does staffing for a summer camp and they’ll tell you that the waterfront director is amongst the hardest (if not the hardest) jobs to fill. Its a position that takes quite a diverse array of skills. First and foremost, the person has to be well versed in aquatics and is typically a pretty good swim instructor. They also need to know about lots of other waterfront activities like sailing, fishing, skiing and boating. They support and supervise the staff who work in those areas. Oh… and its certainly helpful if they know how to use tools as there is a lot of equipment that needs periodic adjustments and repairs.
