Staff Spotlight: Youssef Azmani
Youssef Azmani comes to North Star as a wilderness trip leader. A native of Hales Corners, WI, he’s spent the last year and a half as the operations manager of a fitness center in the Chicago area. He’s also worked as a swim coach and head life guard in the Milwaukee area. He received his masters degree at the European University for Peace and Conflict Studies and would like to work with children as part of his career, so a job at camp seemed perfect for him.
A native cheese head, he’s the oldest of eight children. His family took lots of camping trips to places like the Boundary Waters in MN and the Flambeau Flowage, one of the rivers that our campers take trips on. He’s a real ourdoor enthusiast and we’re glad to have Youssef on our trip staff!
